Our conscious dance-movement sessions enable you to connect body, mind and spirit as you are guided by Varsha through opportunities to communicate through dance and movement with your inner self, fully embody and accept who you are, express yourself freely, respond to things you love and the things you want to change, and empower you to take the steps you need to bring about that change.
Although no two sessions are the same, typically, a conscious dance-movement session will involve a guided visualisation exercise for grounding & intention setting, gentle guided warm-up, moving to the core ‘dance as you feel’ inspired movement expressing emotions, releasing tensions and freeing the spirit. The session concludes with a period mindfulness for calm reflection and integration.
The health and well-being benefits of dance are well documented, including the release of ‘happy hormones’. Conscious dance-movement provides access to all those benefits without the discipline and potential pressure of learning dance steps. It enables you to be in the moment, express your thoughts and feelings and be in control in a safe and non-judgemental container. All this, supported by the emotional power of music.
It is no coincidence that dance has been, throughout human history, an integral part of human existence. That’s because dance and movement are inherently therapeutic, connecting mind, body and spirit. Conscious dance-movement has been found to be beneficial for people experiencing anxiety or depression, low self-esteem or lack of self-confidence, or for anyone who wants to feel energised and empowered as they tackle day to day challenges.
Dance-movement has benefits for everyone. It provides a moment to be with yourself and express freely in whatever form the movement might take.

Thank you for booking with TLP. Please note that once you have booked an appointment with us it means that we have reserved time in our schedule exclusively for you.
All appointment cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment.
Any late cancellations or missed appointments will result in a $50 charge.
Appointments scheduled within the 48 hour window are considered confirmed and cannot be cancelled without penalty.
